A newly developed heat treatment plant now available in Estonia!
A new heat treatment plant produced by WTT A/S was put into operation in HaServ.
The heat treatment process is carried out in a completely closed system (autoclave), where, as a result of high temperature, pressure and steam, the wood is not completely dried out. Natural moisture is retained in the wood and such a treatment is gentler for the wood and also invariably guarantees high-quality and consistent results.

Common alder has two names: gray alder and white alder, which indicate to the color of the bark: unlike European alder or black alder its bark is light gray. Common alder differs from black alder also in respect to other features. Gray alder never grows as a huge giant in the forest. It generally forms thick alder brushes on the fringe of a forest and on former glades. Gray alder can easily be distinguished from its relative on the basis of its leaves.
